Arrive

Invisible luxury
through sound

Guided audio for the hours a guest spends alone in the room, written for your property and recorded by one voice.

I.

Sleep in an unfamiliar room

Guests sleep worse on their first night somewhere new, a pattern sleep researchers call the first-night effect: part of the brain stays more alert than usual, listening for anything unfamiliar (Tamaki et al., Current Biology, 2016). A beautiful room changes the surroundings and leaves that alertness in place, so many guests arrive saturated and leave without having properly recovered.

II.

The Craft

Each property receives its own library, and its size depends on the house, its guests and the moments that matter across a stay: arrival after a long journey, the hour before a spa treatment, the last half hour before sleep. Laurène writes and records every piece in French and English. The library can be refreshed each season as the property’s calendar changes.

III.

The Model

The same library can hold recordings for your staff: a few minutes to settle before a shift at the front desk, something to come down with after a difficult guest, a short recovery between lunch and dinner service.

Pricing is per property, and everyone there, guests and staff, can listen as often as they like. We take on a small number of properties each year.

The card or object in the room

Each property chooses how its guests open the library: a letterpress card, or an object fitted with NFC and designed to suit the room. Placed on the nightstand, by the bath or in the spa lounge, it opens the library with a scan or a single touch.

“Reaching for the card or the object in the room is the first moment of presence.”
